Asia’s most happening, Communications & IT event, CommunicAsia 2009, is going on at Singapore. Event started on 16th June’09 and will run till 19th June’09. Event’s focus is on Broadband Communications, Enterprise Solutions, Mobile Technology and Solutions, Network Solutions, Satellite Technology, Security and Smart Card.
During whole of the event, several products are queued up for launch.
On the very first day, electronic giant, Samsung unveiled a new smart phone, the Jet, which was a real showstopper for the event.
Samsung’s J. K. Shin, head of Samsung Mobile phone division, made a special speech to mark the occasion, he explained, “Samsung Jet provides a seamless and unrivalled mobile experience as a result of our accumulated technology leadership and pursuit of perfect craftsmanship. Our aim is to deliver ultimate satisfaction to our consumers and I believe that Samsung Jet answers the calls of today’s mobile users who want smart features and easy-to-use user interface. This product perfectly reflects our consumer-oriented strategy.” Samsung claims Jet to be “very best in speed, power and dominant performance.”

Samsung Jet; Unique features
800 MHz processor: Jet is a full touch Samsung phone and got a whooping 800MHz processor. Accelerated application processor is the Jet’s secret to speed and backbone to integrate multiple applications into a great seamless experience. Response from 3D touch is appreciable and matches the speed of touch enhancing the pleasure of the experience.
WVGA Amoled display: The phone offers its users high-end visual experience with unmatchable display, 3.1 WVGA, touch screen display 16 million colors and four times sharper than WQVGA screen. Amoled provides stunning and amazing visuals in perfect natural colors and high resolution. With Amoled, Samsung Jet consumes 40% less energy than a cell phone equipped with TFT-LCD display.
Dolphin browser: Samsung Jet opens up a whole new world of web experience with its in-house developed high performance Dolphin web browser for super fast surfing along with more advantages. It supports multi window web browsing, up to five pages at one time, bookmark favorite websites, multiple downloading, background download feature and a built in ad blocker are few to mention.
One finger touch: According to Samsung, “Jet gives its users ultimate in usability, portability and convenience through the brand-new concept - ‘one finger zoom,’ which enables one hand operation to zoom in and out. One finger zoom can be used not only for the Internet browser, but also for Photo browser and file viewer to see TXT, PDF and PPT files in four times bigger size - all just with one finger tip while you’re on the move.”
Microsoft Exchange Active Sync: Samsung Jet is the first feature mobile phone to adopt the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Email system, with a more convenient user interface as a result of more streamlined push-email for business users.
GPS: Samsung Jet also has an inbuilt A-GPS application. The GPS system features Geo-tagging, 3D Map Navigation, GPS on Google maps and location-based services. Jet’s GPS application can run on ‘Drive to’ or ‘Walk to’ modes as well.
5 Mega pixel camera: Samsung Jet is equipped with 5 mega pixel AF camera with Dual LEDs for a flash that features Face Detection, Smile Shot and Blink Detection.
Multimedia: Samsung Jet provides a high quality multimedia experience, transforming music and mobile video into fun zone, with option to operate simultaneous playback audio and scroll through the phone’s music library with superb sound quality and DVD-like video playback recording.
Motion sensor: The 3D media gate on Samsung Jet offers easy access to six key multimedia features, such as Photo album, Music player, Video player, FM Radio, Games and internet, all simply accessed by rolling a six sided cube UI on the screen. Samsung Jet features ‘motion gate’, Samsung’s own motion recognition engine which brings you access to your multimedia favorites as well as speed dialing just by tapping, tilting or flipping the handset.
Price: It’s expected to be priced $525.
Jet is not simply another full touch Samsung mobile phone; it brings a brand new concept of mobile phone to today’s consumers… Smarter than a smart phone.
With Jet, Samsung seem to have taken a giant frog leap and now we have to look for ‘Next is What’.

I rigged my cellular to send a message to my PDA, which is online with my PC, to get it to activate the voicemail, which sends the message to the inbox of my email, which routes it to the PDA, which beams it back to the cellular. Then I realized my gadgets have a better social life than I do !

שלום חברים! אני מאורסת טרייה, אני וחצי השני שלי התחלנו בחיפושים אחר מפיק אירועים. אנו רוצים להתחתן אוקטובר הבא, וקיבלתי הצעה מענינת מאביב זימרמן - הפקת אירועים, אגב, אנחנו מחפשים באיזור הצפון, בערך 300 אורחים במחיר של בערך מ 300 שקל למנה. האם מישהי שמעה על המפיק אירועים, להפקת חתונות ויכולה לתת לי המלצה? האם יש מקומות אחרים בדרום (באר שבע) שכדאי לי לבדוק ל הפקת חתונה ?
