An image captures and relates to precious moments of our life that are otherwise forgotten and hides behind bushes of routine life…

My earlier articles have covered how you can add express by adding images to your article and how to create animation character using your digital photo. In this article and upcoming series, I will be focusing on the Images as a complete package.

You can save your images for the longer time and readily available at any time by saving them on remote servers of photo sharing sites, this could be a great idea if backed by proper study while it can turn into a nightmare if you ignore Terms of Service of the hosting website…

Read before managing online images…

Terms of Service: You must read closely Terms of Service of any site before signing up and passing on your valuable asset to a third party. In case of confusion read FAQ section, which could be of great help.

Image resolution: You must check if your service provider allows you to download high resolution image versions of your digital photos, so that you can transfer your images to other website when required. Picassa allows it free of cost while others like Kodak and Shutterfly charge an amount for that. Flickr allows you to download high resolution images for paid account or if your images are tagged as free for distribution and share photos with all users.

Photo deletion: Check if the website informs you before deleting any of your digital photo and if deleted, is it possible to retrieve photo back?

Free account or the paid one: Check your usage or requirements before signing up. If you are using the images for displaying on your website, check cautiously because every photo sharing site have a marked limit on download. If you are saving images for photo print and posting it to your address check for shipping charges, it should not happen that you have saved money on photo storage while end up paying huge amount as shipping charges, for the purpose you can also consider WalMart and other stores which have partnered with photo sharing sites and offer either free or marginal shipping charges.

Money refund: Look for sites that offer refunds if you’re not satisfied with your order, such as Shutterfly.

Social networking sites: If you just need to share photos among your friends and community, use the free services offered on social networking sites like Orkut or Facebook.
As I consider my images and images as a valuable asset, I always keep backup of the same on hard disk of my laptop …

Hi. I just noticed that your blog appears like it has a code issue at the very bottom of your web page. I am not positive if everybody is seeing this same bugginess when browsing your website? I’m employing a totally different browser than most folks called Opera, so that is what might be causing it? I simply wanted to let you know. Thanks for posting some great info.
